Winston has settled in very well with his new family. They are loving his company and say that he is such a good natured and well trained dog. He certainly seems like a very happy boy, they are sure he is laughing while having his tummy tickled in this photo.

Wini at home

Posted by saveourstrays on July 24, 2010 at 4:41 AM Comments comments (0)

Wini, formerly known as Winnie, was a nervous little girl at the shelter. Now she has the love of a family, things have obviously changed!

Her new family report she is "such a pleasure" and gets on very well with their other doggie, Suny.

Little Gertie has just come in from the pound. According to kennel staff Gertie is friendly, outgoing and confident... she will check you over and curl up on your lap.

She may look a bit like ALF but we think is gorgeous! Check out Gertie's profile here.

Mitch needs a home

Posted by saveourstrays on July 17, 2010 at 7:10 AM Comments comments (0)

Mitch is a beautiful big boy with a huge heart. He loves people and is very playful but due to his size and strength, this makes him unsuitable for children or frail people. He is fine with medium to larger dogs but cannot be rehomed with any small animals.

Click here to view Mitch's profile

He has been at the shelter for too long and really deserves to live in a home environment. The ideal home for Mitch will have an experienced dog owner, a big backyard and all the love you can give. If you think you would like to adopt Mitch or provide him with a foster home, while he waits for his forever home, please fill in an adoption enquiry form.

Posted by saveourstrays on July 17, 2010 at 5:30 AM Comments comments (1)

We have done a quick refresh of our website and added a blog and more photos. The new banner features two of our beautiful strays Mandy and Georgia.

Mandy is still waiting for her forever home and  we are please to say that Georgia is on trial in a new home.

The blog will feature all the latest news from the shelter. Once we get a few more posts up, you can use the categories in the right side bar or search to find articles.

Hope you like it.
