I am totally confused as to your motives for rehoming.
I could have bought the whippet boy for $90 from the pound and desexed him with our local vet (not using usual anaesthetic as it is dangerous to whippets) & given him a fantastic life. All 3 whippets at Blacktown pound had potential buyers. If you were genuinely concerned for the rehoming of these animals, why would you try to save those that already have people interested in them and not wait for those which have no interest and face death row??
I cannot afford to spend $400 on a rescue dog - I could get a mature whippet from a reputable source for less and would at least know its background.
You had no intention of selling the boy to me and the fact that you had to sell him in a pair is ridiculous - the pound staff told my husband that the boy we liked came in on a different day & it was obvious he was in better health. Even if he had come from the same back yard breeder it is ridiculous to say he was so attached to the other one that he must be homed with him - in truth they probably just met.
This is the 2nd time I have been very frustrated and sceptical of so called rescue operations. Just had to vent my opinion.

Just want to send a MASSIVE Thank you to S.O.S for my beautiful baby boy Liquorice. Not only has his life changed, but mine too for the better.
I recommend S.O.S to everyone who comes to say hello to Liquorice when we are out and about.
Great Job Guys.

Could you mind my dog while I'm on holidays, for a reasonable price?

Just wishing you all at SOS all the best for Xmas and the new year. You all do some wonderful work.
I just wanted to add that the Dogs in need campaign may need its own link or spot on the home page as it was prominent on the blog initially, after a few blog entries I had to look through the website to find it again. Im sure it can be run all year with a new dog or cat every month or so.
Also, gaining charitable status through the tax office to have donations tax deductable may increase donations as I know I tend give more when I know I get 30% back from the government at tax time
All the Best

I would love to take them all home and love them. Such beautiful hearts just wanting to belong and to be loved. Unfortunately I live in a unit. I could care for birds to be re-homed? Accolades for the great work u are all doing lindy
